The challenge
With a great deal of equipment left on-site and at a high risk of theft, Omexom needed to prevent equipment being stolen. In addition to this, ensuring their equipment was not tampered with or damaged would enable Omexom to continue to operate efficiently, delivering community requirements.
Due to constantly-changing work locations and the need to move to a new location upon completion of a section, Omexom needed a security solution that was portable and versatile.

The Spectur solution
After learning about Spectur’s mobile wireless solar-powered 4G connected surveillance offerings, Omexom reached out to the company and was able to have a look at and assess the system. After reviewing their options Omexom decided Spectur’s security solution was the best fit for them.
The process from initial contact to installation of the first Spectur systems at Omexom’s sites was quick, easy and seamless and they have now implemented Spectur’s system on a number of projects.
By utilising Spectur systems, Omexom has seen a significant reduction in equipment tampering and theft, reporting no issues at sites where Spectur’s systems have been installed, when compared to sites without Spectur surveillance in operation.
With a 3rd party monitoring solution also implemented to respond to the onsite and online automated and AI-assisted alerts, Spectur was able to quickly notify Omexom’s onsite security of any pending incidents in real time, allowing the security team to deploy to site, further reducing the likelihood and consequences of theft and equipment tampering.
