The challenge
Prime Meat needed to prevent theft and damage at one of its sites while it was in the process of being sold. Previously, criminals had broken in and taken significant lengths of electrical wire in order to extract and sell the copper. With money already lost on replacing stolen equipment and repairing damage, Prime Meat needed an urgent security solution to protect the site while they were looking for buyers.

In order to deter intruders, Prime Meat were looking for a surveillance system to be installed as soon as possible, before further vandalism and break-ins could happen. Located in a small Western Australian town, the surveillance system had to offer an option for remote monitoring rather than having someone always be on-site.
The Spectur solution
After Prime Meat contacted Spectur for a quote, the cameras were set up and ready to use by the end of the week. Given that the situation was urgent, Spectur offered a quick installation to secure the site with completely wireless camera surveillance systems.
Each station had its own in-built modem, solar panels and rechargeable battery, meaning no digging or excavating was required as part of setting up. Being wireless also meant they could be positioned along the perimeter of the property to deter any intruders before they reached the building.
While most of the Prime Meat team are based in Perth, the site itself was located an hour and a half away. Using the Spectur app, the Prime Meat team could remotely monitor the site and view a live feed of the building at any time of day and from any location.
